SimEx-Iwerks and Central Park Zoo Extend Long Term Partnership With WCS
SimEx-Iwerks and WCS Continue Decades of Collaboration
BALTIMORE – June 3, 2026 — SimEx-Iwerks and the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) are continuing their long-standing partnership with the iconic Central Park Zoo.
SimEx-Iwerks is working closely with WCS on the design of a next generation cinematic attraction for zoo guests. The Central Park Zoo has successfully operated its 4D Theater for the past 15 years.
“This new project builds on the excitement and storytelling guests already love, evolving Central Park Zoo’s highly successful 4D experience into an even more expansive, cinematic adventure,” shares Sean McAllister, Senior Vice President, Attractions Development, SimEx-Iwerks.
This latest project is part of a new 10-year agreement between SimEx-Iwerks and WCS, reinforcing a partnership that spans more than two decades and multiple WCS destinations, including Central Park Zoo, the Bronx Zoo, and the New York Aquarium.
It is important to us that the experiences we offer complement the overall zoo visit and our exhibits, while enhancing how we share stories with our guests,” said Niko Radjenovic, Vice President of Business Services at WCS. “SimEx-Iwerks has partnered with WCS on attractions that appeal to our guests and align well with our overall guest experience.”
